Months-long investigation of narcotic activity leads to arrest

ELLERY – An arrest has been made following several months of investigation of narcotic activity.
According to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office, narcotics investigators from their office and the Jamestown Police executed a search warrant at 28 2nd St. High Acres Mobile Home Park in the Town of Ellery.
At the residence at the time of the search was 36-year-old Franklin Matteson III of Bemus Point.
As a result of the search investigators said they seized 28.7 grams of fentanyl, 1 gram of crack cocaine, a loaded .40 cal. Glock handgun, 9 high-capacity magazines, scales used for the sale and distribution of narcotics and $190 currency.
Matteson was charged with three counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia, criminal possession of a firearm and nine counts of third-degree criminal possession of a Weapon.
Matteson was transported to the Chautauqua County Jail to be arraigned at the Centralized Arraignment Program.
