A structure fire at 5:06 a.m. Tuesday destroyed a mobile home in the High Acres Mobile Home Park in Ellery.

The Fluvanna Fire Department along with several neighboring mutual aid fire departments responded to the scene. Upon extinguishing the fire, the Fluvanna Fire Department requested the assistance of the Chautauqua County Fire Investigation Team to conduct an origin and cause investigation.

As a result of the residence being unoccupied for an extended period of time along with the extensive damage to the structure, no immediate cause was able to be determined.
