Holt Retiring; Beckwith Tapped To Lead Lutheran-Jamestown

Lutheran-Jamestown, which provides a broad range of services for seniors and youth, announced Thursday the planned retirement of Tom Holt, who will step down as President and CEO effective Dec. 31, after 35 years with the organization. The Board of Directors has appointed Jason Beckwith, the organization’s chief financial officer, as Lutheran’s new President and CEO, effective January 1, 2025.
Holt has been instrumental in leading Lutheran through growth and transitions since returning to the organization in 1992 after previously spending five years working in direct care while in high school and college. He has led the organization through some incredible milestones including the development of assisted living, expanding housing and community-based services, as well as the development of foster care and community-based services for youth positioning Lutheran as a go-to resource for connecting people to the best services and programs.
“It’s been an incredible journey and such a privilege to serve as President and CEO these last 30 years,” Holt said. “I’m proud of the work our team has accomplished together and the solid foundation we’ve built for the future of the organization. I have full confidence in Jason’s ability to take the organization to new heights.”
Having served as controller at Lutheran five years and chief financial officer for the past 17, Beckwith has worked closely alongside Holt and is recognized for his strong leadership and collaborative approach with the entire team. The Board is confident that his leadership style, along with his deep commitment to the community, make him the ideal choice to guide the organization into the future.
“Jason has a deep understanding of our mission and is a valuable asset to this organization,” said Terry Havens-Turner Board Chair of Lutheran’s Board of Directors. “His experience and vision, combined with his passion for making a positive impact, will ensure that Lutheran continues to thrive and provide essential services to seniors and youth. We are excited to support him in this new role.”
“I’m honored to have been chosen to lead Lutheran and build on the legacy that Tom has established,” Beckwith said. “I look forward to working closely with the Board and our talented team as we continue to provide vital programs to those in need throughout the community. I am committed to ensuring we remain a trusted resource for those we serve.”
