Dogs Seized After Complaint Made Over Malnourished Dogs

Three dogs were seized and a Jamestown woman charged after Jamestown police officers investigated an animal complaint on Thursday.

Tiffany M. Freedline, 35, of Jamestown was charged with three counts of failure to provide sustenance to an animal, three Jamestown City Code summons for unlicensed dogs and three Jamestown City Code summons for unvaccinated dogs at 5:28 p.m. Thursday after officers responded to a home on the city’s south side for an animal complaint. Officers found three dogs to be malnourished, missing hair and one allegedly had an open wound. After seeing the condition of the dogs officers charged Freedline, with all three animals seized. Freedline was released to be in court later.

Also reported overnight by Jamestown Police was a traffic stop that led to charges for an Olean man. Matt R. King, 45, of Olean was charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a class D felony, at 4:41 p.m. Thursday after a traffic stop on East Eighth Street near Prendergast Avenue. According to a police report, officers pulled a vehicle over for a traffic infraction and found the driver in possession of cocaine. King was taken to the city jail until he could be arraigned.
