Fire Destroys Vacant Forest Avenue House

A large vacant Forest Avenue property was destroyed when fire broke out Saturday morning in Jamestown.

The blaze tore through the the structure, located next to the United Church of Christ between McKinley Avenue and Lilac Lane.

Flames could be seen coming from the top of the structure, which eventually collapsed.

Jamestown firefighters and police officers were on the scene around 10 a.m. Mayor Kim Ecklund said the property was vacant.
