The Ellington Fire Department and mutual aid responded to Hopkins Road in the Town of Ellington, for a residential fire on Saturday around 9:50 a.m. Members from the Sheriffs Fire Investigation Team responded to assist in determining the origin and cause of the fire. Following the investigation, it was determined that an electrical issue within an outlet occurred creating the fire. Two individuals from the house were taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation.
