Four From Jamestown Charged In Underage Sale Of Alcohol

Four Jamestown residents have been charged by New York State Police after the agency conducted an underage drinking initiative in Chautauqua and Cattaraugus counties on Wednesday.

The initiative consists of testing retail sellers of alcoholic beverages, by having underaged undercover operatives, under direct State Police supervision attempt to purchase alcohol. This was conducted to ensure compliance with the state Penal Law and ABC Law restrictions on selling alcohol to minors.

Nine establishments were checked in both counties and the following were charged with prohibited sale of alcohol to a person under 21. They include: Andarrel M. Allen, 41; Marlenys Y. Velazquez, 21; Nicholas C. Crossley, 26; and Lori A. Gianetti, 60.
