Five Charged After Search Of City Residence

Five people, all but one residents of Jamestown, are facing drug possession charges after a city residence was searched this week.
A narcotics investigation led to the execution of a search warrant Wednesday evening at 110 Fairview Ave. Inside, investigators claim to have located 14 grams of crack cocaine and 12.8 grams of fentanyl as well as methamphetamine, packaging materials, scales, ammunition and cash.
Taken into custody were Jaqwan Martin, 32, of Buffalo and Michael McGaughy, 39; Jhaszmine Mitchell, 20; Taylor O’Neil, 32; and Christine Baca, 29, all of Jamestown. All five have been charged with second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia and three counts each of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
O’Neil was further charged with two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
All five people were transported to Jamestown City Jail and held for arraignment in Jamestown City Court.
The Jamestown Metro Drug Task Force and narcotics investigators with the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office were assisted Wednesday by the Jamestown SWAT Team, patrol officers, the department’s K-9 unit and the Jamestown Fire Department.
