Chautauqua Lake Drowning Claims Life Of Ohio Man
An Ohio man who did not return from a morning of fishing drowned in Chautauqua Lake.
The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office located the vessel matching the description in the area of Bemus Point around 8:30 a.m. A short distance from the vessel, a subject was located submerged in the water. The subject was recovered by the Marine Patrol and pronounced deceased a short time later by the Coroner’s Office.
The victim was identified as Robert W. Mieczkowski, 66, of Wintersville, Ohio.
