Dunkirk Raids Find Drugs, Weapon, Cash; Three Charged

DUNKIRK — A pair of Main Street search warrants in the city led to three arrests as well as a bevy of cash, narcotics and a weapon.

Dunkirk police report the raids took place early Thursday with the assistance of the members of Chautauqua County Drug Taskforce, the special reaction team and K-9 Unit, the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s SWAT Team and K-9 Units, accompanied by several investigators, along with detectives from Jamestown Police Department,

During a search warrant at 506 Main St., officers located two subjects, Ontario R. Eldridge, 36, of Dunkirk and Lemorris E. Jones, 39, of Atlanta. Both were taken into custody without incident. During the search, investigators located 87.75 grams of crack cocaine, 90.53 grams of fentanyl, three grams of meth, two pounds of marijuana, and a Loaded Glock 42 pistol with an attached high capacity drum fed magazine and a total of approximately $6,500 cash. Both were charged with two counts of criminal possession of narcotics, second-degree criminal possession of a loaded firearm, second-degree criminal nuisance and unlawful possession of a large capacity magazine.

At the same time, members of the Chautauqua County SWAT, K-9 and Detective Division conducted a search warrant at 708 Main St. and found Larry E. Brooks Jr., 34, of Dunkirk. He was taken into custody without incident. There, investigators located quantities of meth, fentanyl and crack cocaine. Brooks was charged with three counts of criminal possession of narcotics with intent to sell, criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, second-degree criminal use of drug paraphernalia and second-degree criminal nuisance.
