WARREN, Pa. — The Warren County School Board has presented a unified front in favor of mask mandates.
At a special meeting Friday morning, all nine members voted in favor of rescinding previous decisions easing mask requirements in the district. There was no discussion of three of the items during public session.
About 100 people, including the board members, district personnel, parents, students, and others were online for the meeting.
Five people signed up to address the board - four did so - all of them against the mask mandate.
The board approved motions that rescinded previous decisions to limit disciplinary penalties for students who do not wear masks on district transportation and to allow parents to exempt students from wearing masks without a need for medical documentation.
The board also approved a revised health and safety plan and retained the services of a law firm.
All votes were unanimous with all nine members present.
Additional details will be published in the Saturday edition of the Times Observer.
