A 49-year-old Jamestown man was jailed Tuesday on a first-degree rape charge for an incident that occurred with a juvenile in 2011.

Joseph Angelo was picked up on an arrest warrant by Chautauqua County sheriff’s deputies.

The Sheriff’s Office Criminal investigation Division conducted an investigation into an allegation of a rape of a juvenile that occurred in 2011. No further information was made public.

Angelo was taken to centralized arraignment at the Chautauqua County Jail and is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
