For the second day in a row, the number of active cases of COVID-19, people with the virus in the hospital and those in quarantine in Chautauqua County all increased.

The health department on Thursday reported 210 active cases, up from the 199 recorded Wednesday; 10 people in the hospital with the virus, up one from the day before; and 331 in quarantine, an increase from the 316 noted Wednesday.

The county also reported 37 new cases of the virus and one new virus-related death. There have been 9,799 confirmed cases to date along with 9,428 recoveries and 161 virus-related deaths.
