MAYVILLE — A Saturday morning altercation has led to charges for a village resident.

At approximately 10:30 a.m., the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office responded to a residence on Ash Street for the report of a disturbance. A subsequent investigation on scene led to the arrest of Carl Ransbury, 22, for criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation.

Ransbury was transported to the Chautauqua County Jail for arraignment.
