From Friday to Sunday, the Chautauqua County Health Department reported 93 new COVID-19 cases and two additional deaths. Overall, there have been 8,744 cases with 209 currently active and 8,391 recoveries. There has been 144 deaths linked to the virus locally.

The positivity rate over seven days was 2.4% while hospitalizations decreased by one from 13 to 12. The statewide rate was 2.9% with Western New York having the highest at 4.7%.

“Your community determines your positivity rate,” state Gov. Andrew Cuomo said in reference to the high numbers here.
