City Firefighters Help Evacuate Occupants From Home
Two people were transported to the hospital after fire broke out at a Jamestown home earlier this afternoon.
City firefighters helped evacuate the occupants, three in total, after fire was first reported inside the basement of the 33 Myrtle St. property around 12:15 p.m.
The fire was quickly knocked down, though smoke could be seen coming from several windows of the multi-unit property.
Matthew Coon, deputy fire chief, said crews were looking for extension.
The local chapter of the American Red Cross has been called to assist the occupants.
