Hit-And-Run Incident In Frewsburg Leads To Charges
FREWSBURG — A hit-and-run crash has led to charges for a 21-year-old.
Joe I. Martin, no address listed, was issued tickets on charges of second-degree aggravated unlicensed operator, failure to stop at a stop sign, unregistered motor vehicle, operating without insurance, leaving the scene of a property damage accident and inadequate brakes.
The Carroll Police Department was notified of a crash at 7:55 p.m. Feb. 18 on West Main Street in Frewburg in which one of the vehicles involved left the scene.
An investigation found that Martin allegedly failed to stop at a stop sign and struck another vehicle, causing damage to both vehicles. Martin’s vehicle then struck and sheared off a fire hydrant, and then left the area.
Martin was later located.
