Search Of City Property Turns Up Drugs, Cash

The search of a Jamestown home resulted in the discovery of cocaine, a marijuana growing operation and money.

The Jamestown Police Department on Thursday announced the execution of a warrant at 211 Hazzard St., part of an ongoing investigation nicknamed “Operation Crazy Ivan.”

The search included members of the Jamestown Metro Drug Task Force with the assistance of the Ellicott Police Department, Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office, Jamestown Police Department SWAT Team, and Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force.

During the search, investigators found over 8 ounces of powder cocaine, anabolic steroids, a marijuana growing operation, scales, packaging materials, ammunition, a money counter and $4,587.00 in cash.

No charges were announced Thursday, and no one tied to “Operation Crazy Ivan” have been taken into custody.
