Charges are pending for several people after officers searched two Jamestown properties Wednesday as the result of a two-month-long investigation into the alleged trafficking of drugs within the city.
In a news release, the Jamestown Police Department said members of the Jamestown Metro Drug Task Force executed warrants at an apartment at 28 Euclid Ave. and 8 Pullman St. beginning around 6:50 a.m.
On Euclid Avenue, officers found three men and a male youth. Entry was gained with the assistance of the city’s SWAT team, and investigators were aided by the Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force and Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office.
On Pullman Street, a woman and another youth were located.
A search of the properties turned up two “unlawfully possessed .380 caliber handguns, cocaine and heroin/fentanyl,” JPD said.
The investigation remains ongoing, and the department said charges are expected to be filed shortly. None of those located Wednesday were identified.
