Man Who Pointed Shotgun At National Grid Employees Charged
A Bemus Point man who police say pointed a shotgun at two National Grid employees has been charged.
New York State troopers along with Chautauqua County sheriff’s deputies responded Friday to the Bemus Point area for a report of a disorderly person allegedly in possession of a firearm. An investigation found that 42-year-old Edmond Shults III had approached a National Grid truck that was parked on the road and reportedly “pointed a shotgun at the two employees that were seated inside,” the New York State Police said in a news release.
Shults was processed at state police barracks in Jamestown and released with tickets for two counts of second-degree menacing. He is scheduled to appear in Ellery Town Court later.
