FALCONER — The Falconer Rotary and the village of Falconer have made the difficult decision to cancel this year’s traditional Santa Claus parade.

Instead, Santa Claus will be escorted by the Falconer Fire Department around the village on Saturday, Dec. 5, starting at 10 a.m.

To view the route in advance of Santa’s arrival, visit the village of Falconer Facebook page.

Children and their families will be able to see Santa as he passes through their neighborhoods. Santa’s ride around the village will be begin at SKF on Elmwood Avenue. He will then wind his way around the village aboard the Old Mac Fire Truck. Updates of Santa’s whereabouts in the village will be posted to the village Facebook page throughout the morning of Dec. 5.

This will provide families a little advance notice of when Santa will arrive in their neighborhood. Mr. and Mrs. Santa are reminding all good boys and girls (and their families) to please remember to wear their masks and to social distance throughout this event.

Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, Santa will not be able to stay and greet children at the Santa House this year.
