3 Jamestown Residents Charged In Burglary

STOCKTON — Three Jamestown residents are facing a host of charges stemming from a burglary reported Saturday.

Chautauqua County sheriff’s deputies responded around 10 a.m. to a reported burglary taking place at a Route 380 home in the town of Stockton. Deputies arrived to find the homeowner and another family member blocking a vehicle involved in the incident.

An investigation determined that 53-year-old Alfred J. Kohl, 41-year-old Lisa Hayes and 33-year-old Brooke A. Amatuzzo were involved in the burglary. Among the items removed from the home, according to the Sheriff’s Office in a news release, included firearms.

All of the property was located and returned to the homeowner.

The trio was taken into custody on charges including first-degree burglary, two counts of second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, two counts of fourth-degree grand larceny, fourth-degree attempted grand larceny and attempted petit larceny. Amatuzzo was also reportedly found with a quantity of methamphetamine and a hypodermic instrument, and faces additional charges of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminally possessing a hypodermic instrument.

Kohl, Hayes and Amatuzzo were transported to Chautauqua County Jail for centralized arraignment.
