Van Strikes Tree In City

The driver of a van that struck a tree was checked by EMS personnel Wednesday.

First responders were called to Pardee Avenue, between Willard Street and Crestline Drive, around 11:10 a.m. for a report of a crash. A van, which officials say may have had mechanical issues, struck a tree causing extensive damage to the vehicle.

The driver was checked by Alstar EMS. Injuries did not appear to be serious.

Members of the Jamestown Fire Department and Jamestown Police Department also responded to Pardee.
