A portion of South Main Street in the city of Jamestown will be closed for several hours Wednesday as road work continues.

The city Department of Public Works said the road, between First Street and the Arterial, will be closed beginning at 5 a.m. In a news release last week, the city said the road should reopen by late Wednesday afternoon.

Further, motorists should expect delays Thursday when traffic lines are put down.
