Only one new case of COVID-19 was reported Friday by the Chautauqua County Department of Health. The lone case involves a person residing in Dewittville.

There remains 35 active cases for those who continue to recover under orders from local health officials. There are also 245 county residents under quarantine/isolation; not all of those being monitored are confirmed to have COVID-19 but have either shown symptoms, are awaiting results or have risk factors.

As of Friday, 26 people were under domestic traveler quarantine, as well as one person with COVID-19 hospitalized.

To date there have been 589 recoveries, 10 deaths, 634 total confirmed cases and 42,389 negative test results.
