Power outages were reported by the Board of Public Utilities, beginning around 9:25 p.m. Tuesday in the following areas: north side of Jamestown, Fluvanna area, Falconer, Camp Street Extension, Willard Street Extension, the Swanson Road area, and Crescent and Hebner Heights. As of 10:33 p.m., various areas were restored while supervisors and crews worked to bring back power. No estimate of repair time is given. No cause is reported at this time.The power outage in Falconer around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday caused the Cassadaga Water Pump Station to temporarily shut down, stirring water and resulting in discolored water. Water is expected to clear in 12-24 hours. Water customers should avoid doing laundry until you observe that water is clear.
