Jamestown Man Charged In Violating Order Of Protection

A 33-year-old city man has been charged with violating an order of protection after Jamestown officers responded to a residence at 43 W. Ninth St.

At about 8:20 p.m. Thursday, Jamestown police and members of the New York State Police were working on a joint operation when they responded to the home. After an investigation, it was determined that Luis A. Irizarry Jr. was in violation of a duly served stay away order of protection out of Jamestown City Court for him to stay away from two females.

He was located off scene and charged with two counts of first-degree criminal contempt, and two counts of aggravated family offense.

He was transported to City Court and was being held pending arraignment at a later date.
