City Man Jailed On Murder Charge, Victim ID’d
A Jamestown man has been jailed on a second-degree murder charge following the stabbing death of another city resident late Monday.
Police charged 28-year-old Carl W. Sorenson following a daylong investigation.
Brandon J. Holland, 23, was stabbed in the chest Monday around 10:15 p.m. as he walked on North Main Street.
Sorenson, who was on parole, was taken into custody Tuesday afternoon at his Washington Street apartment, Jamestown police said in a news release. He is being held in Jamestown City Jail pending arraignment.
The Jamestown Police Department was assisted in its investigation by the Chautauqua County District Attorney’s Office.
