Stephen Kolison, Jr., Ph.D., has been named the President of the State University of New York at Fredonia.

Kolison currently serves as Executive Vice President and Provost at the University of Indianapolis, which he has held since April of 2017. In his current role, he has planned new degree programs, worked closely with faculty to establish three new faculty tracks, teaching intensive, research intensive, and professors with practice.

He’s developed and executed an academic plan, conducted three successful nation searches for deans for various colleges, and established positive relationships with faculty governance groups and trustees. He restored the university’s status as Carnegie Community Engagement University.
