The chairman of the Warren County Fourth of July Organization announced Friday that this year’s festivities have been canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Even though Gov. Wolf moved Warren County to the ‘Green Phase’ (on May 29), there is still restrictions. … Festivals, concerts and large gatherings — which would include our Fourth of July parade and fireworks,” said organization Chairman Bill Thompson. “Please accept my deep regret, but I (have) to think of the safety of everyone; this year’s 2020 celebration is canceled and looking forward to 2021.”
