A Lakewood woman who police say stole close to $60,000 from a business in the town of Busti is facing grand larceny charges.

The Lakewood-Busti Police Department said Sandra L. Ford, 41, was issued an appearance ticket following an investigation into the theft. Police said Ford was employed by the business, which was not identified in a news release Wednesday, when she used the owner’s personal credit card and bank account to make personal purchases and pay her bills.

The investigation determined the Lakewood woman spent about $60,000 from the business over a year and a half.

Ford is scheduled to appear in Busti Town Court at a later date.
