Cattaraugus County Reports Seventh Case Of Virus

LITTLE VALLEY — Seven cases of the coronavirus have been confirmed in Cattaraugus County, health officials announced Wednesday.

A woman who lives in the southeast part of the county, with no significant travel history, was tested for COVID-19 on Monday after being in close contact with an individual confirmed to have the virus; the positive test was reported on Tuesday, the county Department of Health announced.

The woman is reportedly resting at home under quarantine with her family.”She will be assessed for any medical support that we can provide, and we will monitor her symptoms closely,” the county Health Department said.

As of Wednesday, 107 Cattaraugus County residents are in mandatory quarantine; and 10 residents are in precautionary quarantine. In all, 192 tests have been administered, with 163 coming back negative.
