Sundquist Wins Race For Jamestown Mayor

Local attorney Eddie Sundquist will be the next mayor of Jamestown.

According to unofficial results by the Chautauqua County Board of Elections, Sundquist received 2,519 votes, topping David Wilfong, who received 1,959 votes, and Andrew Liuzzo with 574 votes.

Sundquist celebrated the Election Day win inside the Jamestown Brewing Company with fellow politicians and supporters. He will replace current Mayor Sam Teresi after a 20-year career at city hall.

Sundquist, who also ran for Congress in 2018, received the endorsement from the Jamestown Democratic Committee in February ahead of his official campaign announcement. He was also endorsed by the Working Families Party in March when he officially launched his campaign for mayor.
