(2:11 PM) Pair Jailed After 91 Bags Of Heroin-Fentanyl Found In Vehicle

Two people were jailed Monday morning after Jamestown police found heroin mixed with fentanyl during a traffic stop.

Officers stopped the vehicle around 8:45 a.m. near the intersection of East Second Street and Prendergast Avenue. Inside, police found 91 bags of the heroin-fentanyl mixture totaling 9.1 grams.

The occupants, 31-year-old Jonathan Negron-Rosario and 42-year-old Melvin Galarza, were taken to Jamestown City Jail and held for arraignment. The pair is facing charges of felony third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminally using drug paraphernalia.
