(9:45 AM) City Crews Battle Fire At Commercial Building

Jamestown firefighters battled a fire inside an industrial building this morning.

A lot of smoke was seen coming from 1070 Allen St. shortly after 9 a.m. Crews arrived to find smoke pouring from each side of the large building.

Firefighters eventually found the source of the fire, while HAZMAT members were called due to “unknown materials” inside the building.

One firefighter was reportedly transported to the hospital for unknown injuries.

The fire was reported out around 10:15 a.m.

Off-shift crews were summoned and firefighters from Falconer were asked to stand by.

Kiantone’s ambulance also reported to the scene.

The cause of the fire wasn’t known; investigators were called to the scene.
