(6:50 PM) Teen Charged In Attack Of GA Staff
A 17-year-old male was taken into custody after allegedly attacking staff at GA Family Services on Tuesday.
Officers were called to the youth service facility at 200 Gustavus Ave. around 3:15 p.m. for a report of a disorderly person. GA staff told police that the 17-year-old male was “non-compliant” and refused to follow staff instructions.
“When the male returned to his room he attacked the staff,” Jamestown police said in a press release. “As a result of the attack, one staff member sustained non-life-threatening injuries. A second staff member was also spit on and struck in the altercation.”
The male, who was not identified due to his age, is facing charges of third-degree assault and second-degree harassment. He was being held for an appearance in Jamestown City Court.
