(5:05 PM) Head-On Crash Leads To Child Endangerment, DWI Charges
A city woman is facing child endangerment and drunken driving charges following a head-on crash early Sunday.
Officers with the Jamestown Police Department responded at 4:15 a.m. to a crash near Allen and King streets. Officers learned 18-year-old Michelle R. Grimm drove into the lane of another vehicle, striking it head on.
An investigation found that Grimm was allegedly under the influence of alcohol and had a 15 year old passenger in the vehicle.
Grimm was transported to Jamestown City Jail and held for arraignment. She is facing charges of aggravated driving while intoxicated with a child in the vehicle, endangering the welfare of a child, DWI and failure to keep right.
Police did not state if any injuries were suffered in the crash. No further information was made available Sunday.
