(10 AM) Police: 3 People Connected To Armed Robbery Jailed
Three people with connection to the armed robbery of a convenience store Wednesday morning in West Ellicott have been taken into custody.
The people, according to Ellicott police, are currently jailed on unrelated drug charges.
Further charges tied to Wednesday morning’s robbery are expected.
The robbery of Keystone Food Mart, 575 Fairmount Ave., took place at 4:50 a.m. A still image taken from surveillance video and released by the Ellicott Police Department shows the two men inside the store; one of the suspects is shown holding a shotgun.
Prior to entering Keystone, the men reportedly parked a white sedan (possibly a Nissan) on Howard Avenue behind the Salvation Army. According to police, the pair demanded money from a clerk, though how much was obtained wasn’t immediately known.
The men, believed to be Hispanic, fled after the robbery in the sedan. They were last seen heading toward Jamestown.
