Two people were taken into custody on assault and burglary charges after a man suffered serious injuries in an early morning incident in Jamestown on Wednesday.

Officers were called to 1414 E. Second St. at 3:10 a.m. for a reported fight. Upon arrival, officers found a man in his apartment with several lacerations and “covered in blood.”

An investigation found that 25-year-old David M. Hicks of Jamestown and 48-year-old Ronald E. Parsons of Falconer had gotten into a dispute with the victim over money.

Hicks and Parsons allegedly entered the victim’s East Second Street apartment and assaulted him, causing serious injuries, Jamestown police said.

The pair was transported to Jamestown City Jail on charges of first-degree burglary and second-degree assault.
