(4:38 PM) City Youth Charged After Allegedly Hitting Cars With Baseball Bats

Two 18-year-old Jamestown residents have been taken to the Jamestown City jail awaiting arraignment after allegedly hitting parked cars with a baseball bat on Thursday.

According to a police report, Kayla M. Haines, 18, and Mikayla C. Bartlett, 18, both of Jamestown, were charged with third-degree criminal mischief after a rash of criminal mischief incidents throughout the Jamestown area in which vehicles were hit with a baseball bat as the girls drove past them in a vehicle. Jamestown police officers were assisted by Lakewood-Busti and Ellicott police officers in their search for the vehicle. Following an investigation into the incidents, Bartlett and Haines were charged.

Further charges are expected.
