(10 AM) Motorists Dodge Trampoline In Dunkirk

Dunkirk police officers remove a trampoline that was lifted by winds on to Brigham Road.

DUNKIRK — Motorists had to do more than just navigate through the snow and blustery conditions. Some even had to avoid a trampoline in the city.

Dunkirk officers were at Brigham Road this morning moving a trampoline that was lifted by the winds on to the pavement between Fifth and Sixth streets. The officer moved the trampoline to the side of the road in minutes.

Gusting topped 53 mph this morning in the city, according to the National Weather Service as a wind advisory remains in effect through 10 p.m. Other top wind gusts were: 47 mph at Dunkirk airport; 45 mph in Fredonia and 39 mph in Farnham.
