A man on the Jamestown Police Department’s Top 10 Most Wanted list has been taken into custody.

James A. Grant, 55, of Jamestown was arrested after officers on patrol saw him exit a vehicle Tuesday in the 800 block of Jefferson Street. Grant was known to have active warrants through Jamestown City Court.

An investigation Tuesday found that Grant was in violation of a city court order of protection to stay away from females who were in the car with him.

Grant was charged with two counts of first-degree criminal contempt and aggravated family offense. He was transported to Jamestown City Jail and held for arraignment in city court, Jamestown police said in a press release.
