(1:50 PM) Jamestown Police Investigating Two Stabbings

Jamestown police are investigating two separate stabbing incidents that happened late Saturday and early Sunday.

The first stabbing happened around 11:30 p.m. at an unknown location in the city. The victim was taken to UPMC Chautauqua by a private citizen and dropped off for treatment after being stabbed in the arm while he sat in a vehicle. Police said in a news release that they believe the person was stabbed by an unknown person who walked up to the victim, who was sitting in a parked vehicle.

The second reported stabbing happened, according to police, when the victim went to a residence on West Eighth Street, Jamestown, after being stabbed at another unknown location. The second victim was taken to UPMC Chautauqua by Alstar Ambulance, where he was treated for a stab wound to the back.

Police say both victims are not cooperating with police and that exact locations and circumstances are unknown. Police did say in the news release that both victims were allegedly specifically targeted and that the acts of violence were not random.

Injuries to both people are not considered life-threatening and the incidents do not appear to be related.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Jamestown Police Department’s Anonymous Tip Line at 483-8477 or through the Tips 411 App. All calls are kept confidential.
