BEMUS POINT — Smashing its own world record, The Village Casino in Bemus Point announced it served 40,520 chicken wings in a two-day event to benefit charity.
The Village Casino set the original Guinness World Record when it sold 30,000 chicken wings in 1982.
The restaurant had hoped to break its own record when it announced it would attempt to serve 40,000 wings from Saturday to Sunday. At 8 p.m. Sunday, word came that the record — and then some — had been re-established.
