(3:30 PM) Man Injured In Jamestown Stabbing
A man suffered “superficial wounds” after a stabbing incident at a Prendergast Avenue apartment in Jamestown on Wednesday.
Police were called to the apartment, at the intersection of East Sixth Street, around 3 p.m. The man was taken by ALSTAR EMS to UPMC Chautauqua hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, Capt. Robert Robert Samuelson of the Jamestown Police Department said.
The female suspect was a person known to police, Samuelson said.
The incident occurred about a half hour after city police were alerted to a person stabbed in front of a home a block away on Spring Street. However, Samuelson said the person was not stabbed, but sprayed with pepper spray. He said the incidents were not related but had no further information.
