4:15 P.M.: Youngsville Man Charged In Rape Of 8-Year-Old

YOUNGSVILLE, Pa. –A Youngsville, Pa., man was jailed in the alleged rape of an 8-year-old, the Pennsylvania State Police said Friday.

Charged was 36-year-old Richard M. Bailey after state police were contacted this week regarding the sexual assault of an 8-year-old girl in Brokenstraw Township in Warren County. A report of suspected child abuse was initiated by Warren/Forest Children Youth Services on Thursday.

A forensic interview of the girl was conducted at the Children Youth Services in Warren. The girl told police Bailey allegedly raped her and committed aggravated and indecent assaults, state police reported Friday in a press release.

A criminal arrest warrant was obtained Friday on charges of rape, aggravated assault and indecent assault, and Bailey was arraigned in front of Judge Laura Bauer and remanded to the Warren County Jail. Bail was set at $100,000 at arraignment.
