North County COVID-19 Cases On Rise

Eight new cases of COVID-19 each in Fredonia and Dunkirk were reported Monday by the Chautauqua County Health Department.

Of the 111 active cases, 25 new cases were reported over three days from Saturday. Those also include: Four from Jamestown and one from Dewittville, Bemus Point, Irving, Conewango Valley and Silver Creek.

There are currently three active cases among employees of and 41 active cases among residents associated with Tanglewood Manor; 62 people associated with this outbreak have recovered.

The Chautauqua County Health Department is continues to investigate a cluster of cases in the North County, which were the result of a private event. At least 14 cases over the last week are linked to this happening.

Through Saturday, 16 people were hospitalized.

Since March, there have been: 837 recovered cases; 13 deaths; and 961 total confirmed cases.
