In the article printed on Tuesday, August 11, titled "Panama continues discussion on BESS moratorium" it is stated that the town of Harmony is working on a law to ban battery storage facilities in the town. For clarification, a moratorium is currently in place in the town on these battery storage facilities, and the town is continuing to work towards developing a law alongside their lawyers and the town zoning board. A public hearing was also held in regards to this issue to allow town residents and board members to ask questions and gain information on battery storage from the battery storage company, the fire company, and engineers. According to the town, that hearing made it very clear these types of facilities would not be welcome in the town.
