Eye Care Buildings Sale

Community Eye Care Specialists is clarifying a report in the March 20 editions of The Post-Journal and OBSERVER regarding real estate transactions involving two eye care buildings in Dunkirk and Jamestown. The properties at 462 Fairmount Ave. in Ellicott and 1136 Central Ave. in Dunkirk, which houses Community Eye Care Specialists locations, were sold for $1.875 million. While the sale has drawn attention, practice leadership confirmed the newspaper reports that no changes to the buildings’ operations are planned. The sales do not affect patient care or daily operations. Officials emphasized that the transaction involved the buildings only and does not reflect any change to the medical practice, providers or services available to patients.

“Our patients are at the heart of everything we do, and that remains unchanged,” said Dr. Beau Froebel, a provider at Community Eye Care Specialists. “This was a real estate transaction only. Our team, our services and our commitment to the community will continue as they always have.”
