Correction: Lakewood Memorial Library Budget
In the Sunday, May 13 editorial, “Are Small Libraries Something We Want, Or Something We Need?” it was incorrectly stated that the Lakewood Memorial Library has a little more than $900,000 in the bank to help with its budget.
According to an Independent Accountant’s Review Report dated April 3, 2018, the current cash assets of the LML effective Dec. 31, 2016, were $36,949. Total net assets including land, building and equipment were valued at $602,306; restricted investments total $68,510; and unrestricted investment assets which are used for operating expenses total $199,068.
